This small vase was fired using a Raku technique. The piece is glazed and then fired very quickly, taken out of the kiln and immersed into a can with combustible materials. This gives the piece this very colorful and unique glazing. These items can be used as decoration, or to hold dried flowers or branches. Due to the process of their making, they can not hold water, and are not food safe.
This piece was "kissed" in the kiln by another pot, which left a small white spot on one side, which is unglazed.
